Yes. Eligible BC patients can begin without a family doctor or referral. FasTreat may support an ADHD-specific pathway while you remain on the Health Connect Registry, but it does not replace comprehensive primary care.

Across FasTreat's Canadian service, most patients wait less than 24 hours to see a provider. This figure is updated periodically and is not a guarantee; BC availability varies with provider authorization and demand. BC Ministry of Health records released through FOI showed 384,175 people on the Health Connect Registry as of June 10, 2025.

BC patients are matched with healthcare professionals authorized to practise in British Columbia, including physicians, nurse practitioners and other qualified ADHD care providers where clinically appropriate and available. You'll see your provider's name and professional title before your appointment; availability varies.

Verify physicians through the CPSBC Directory. Nurse practitioners can be verified through BCCNM Nurse Verification, the provincial public registry.

Yes. For a BC appointment through FasTreat, you must be physically located in British Columbia at the time of the visit. This allows FasTreat to confirm eligibility and connect you with a provider authorized to care for patients in the province.

A provider may prepare supporting documentation for a school or workplace accommodation request when clinically appropriate. This is not guaranteed and depends on the provider's assessment, the information available and the receiving organization's requirements. Share any required form or format with your provider for review.

Medication may be considered after a clinical assessment when your provider determines that it is appropriate and safe. Medication is not suitable for everyone, and a prescription is never guaranteed. Some patients may require an in-person assessment, additional testing or local follow-up.

If your provider determines that medication is appropriate and issues a prescription, it can be sent to the BC pharmacy you select. FasTreat pharmacy partners also offer delivery options and coordinated service for members.

No. A diagnosis and any treatment recommendation depend on your clinical assessment, safety considerations and the provider's professional judgment. You may be referred for additional testing, specialist care or an in-person assessment.

No. FasTreat is a private, self-pay service and is not currently covered by MSP. You will receive a receipt that you may submit to private insurance or a health spending account. Eligibility for reimbursement depends on your plan.

Coverage depends on the medication, PharmaCare registration, personal eligibility and current criteria. Some ADHD medications may require a Special Authority request. Medication costs are separate from FasTreat service fees.

Possibly. With your consent, FasTreat can provide a clinical summary and recommendations. Your family doctor will decide whether to assume prescribing or participate in shared care based on their clinical judgment and practice policies.
