Urgent care or an Urgent and Primary Care Centre in British Columbia may prescribe ADHD medication if a licensed physician or authorized nurse practitioner is willing, even when you bring an assessment and prescription history, but those documents do not require the clinician to write stimulants and they do not create a right to a refill. Walk-in and urgent settings are still episodic care. Many ADHD medications are federally controlled, so a clinician may continue an existing dose, offer a short supply, ask for more records, or refuse. HealthLink BC describes walk-in clinics as non-urgent assessment and treatment and tells people waiting for attachment to use the Health Connect Registry. MSP covers medically required physician services, not the medication.
FasTreat also offers private online ADHD assessment and ongoing care, depending on your needs and clinical assessment.

This is only my personal experience in B.C. I brought my ADHD assessment and old prescription printout to urgent primary care. They would only see me in person. A clinician continued a short supply after checking PharmaNet-style history questions and said they might not do it again. I am not claiming every urgent care will prescribe; this is just my visit.
