You can take a private Adult ADHD Centre report to a walk-in clinic or urgent care in British Columbia, but the clinician is not required to accept that report as enough to prescribe medication. Private assessments can inform a licensed physician or nurse practitioner; they do not bind MSP, PharmaCare, or a walk-in policy, and this is not a recommendation of that centre or any clinic. This is only my personal experience in B.C. I paid for a private Adult ADHD Centre report and took it to a walk-in. They would not prescribe a stimulant from that report alone. They wanted a family doctor to take over monitoring first. I am not saying every walk-in will ignore a private report; this is just what happened to me.

Different experience, also just mine. I brought the same kind of private report to an Urgent and Primary Care Centre. A nurse practitioner read it, asked more questions, and continued my existing medication while I wait on the Health Connect Registry. They would not start a new stimulant from the report. A friend’s walk-in would not even look at it. This is a personal account, not a provincial standard.
