If your private insurance in British Columbia reimburses only generic lisdexamfetamine, InnoviCares might pay part of a brand Vyvanse difference for a participating product, but you should not count on the card to erase the whole brand premium, and it is not a public plan. Manufacturer savings amounts vary by product and by province, Quebec may be excluded, and the card can leave a copay, a dispensing fee, or a gap that neither the insurer nor the card will take. Private plans often apply a generic substitution or a maximum equal to the generic price; that is a contract rule between you and the insurer, not something InnoviCares can override. BC PharmaCare is separate: lisdexamfetamine is limited coverage and usually needs Special Authority based on a prior methylphenidate or dextroamphetamine trial, and Low Cost Alternative can still cap public reimbursement of brand at generic price when a generic exists. Fair PharmaCare deductibles are another government layer and do not make brand automatically free.
Rules, coverage and referral pathways vary by province and can change; confirm the current position with the relevant institution or provincial program.

This is only my personal experience, not a national rule. My BC extended health paid generic lisdexamfetamine only. I still wanted brand Vyvanse, so the pharmacy ran InnoviCares after the insurer. It lowered the extra brand cost but did not pay all of it. Special Authority was a different paperwork process with my doctor. I am not saying other people with generic-only insurance will get the same leftover.
