Why does my mind feel too fast when I'm under pressure at work?
Whenever deadlines stack up my brain feels like it's racing even though I can't get anything done. Is this something you see in ADHD?

Under pressure, the ADHD nervous system can shift into overdrive. Stress increases arousal, which can speed up thoughts rather than organize them. This leads to racing ideas, difficulty prioritizing, and mental noise.
While urgency can sometimes boost focus, too much pressure overwhelms regulation systems. The brain becomes busy but less effective.
Learning to slow inputs and reduce cognitive load during high pressure periods can help restore clarity.
