If I pay a psychologist for ADHD testing, is only the psychiatrist portion covered by OHIP in Ontario?

If you pay a psychologist for ADHD testing in Ontario, that psychologist fee is not an OHIP insured service; a separate medically necessary psychiatrist visit can still be covered by OHIP when the psychiatrist bills OHIP. Paying the psychologist does not purchase an OHIP psychologist benefit, and it does not automatically make the psychiatrist visit free unless that psychiatrist visit itself is an insured physician service.
