Kept a diary for my first month on Vyvanse 20mg (28F, BC, first medication ever). Selected entries, unedited: Day 1: did the dishes without negotiating with myself for an hour first. Then cried about the dishes. Okay. Day 4: head is QUIET but so am I? Jokes aren't landing. Music is wallpaper. Flat. Day 9: flatness lifting. Appetite still in witness protection. Lunch is now a scheduled protein shake, like a meeting. Day 17: first day I forgot I'd taken it. Apparently that's the goal? Feels anticlimactic. Day 30: it is not magic. I still procrastinate. But starting things costs about half what it used to, and I didn't know that price could go down. Going to 30mg next month. One thing I'd love a clinical answer on: was the week-one emotional flatness a dose signal or just adjustment? Nobody warned me and it scared me more than any other part.

The day-17 'forgot I took it' milestone deserves more attention in every starting-meds thread. Nobody tells you the goal state is boring. Everyone expects fireworks and the actual win condition is the absence of friction. Would've saved me a month of 'is this even working' spiraling.

Day 4 'music is wallpaper' — I've never seen the early flatness described that precisely. Mine lifted around day 10, same as yours. The scheduled protein shake as a calendar meeting is a genuinely good hack that I'm stealing.
