Foquest vs Concerta in Canada — is the longer duration worth the price difference?
The math I'm trying to do: Concerta covers me 7am to about 5pm. My commute + kids means the hours my family actually gets me are 5-9pm — i.e., the unmedicated director's cut. Doctor mentioned Foquest lasts meaningfully longer, but my plan only covers part of it, so it'd be real money every month.
Anyone made this exact switch? Was the extended coverage real for you or marginal? Trying to figure out if I'm buying three good hours or a rounding error. (35F, Ontario, long-suffering Google Calendar.)

Made exactly this switch last fall. The extra duration is real — I get solid coverage till about 7:30pm vs Concerta's 5pm — but note it also means the med is still around at bedtime if you take it late. Had to move my dose to 6:45am sharp. For the parenting-shift use case specifically: worth it, the 5-8pm window with my kids is why I did it and I'd pay again.

Counter-experience so you have both: I tried Foquest for three months and went back. The difference for me was maybe 90 minutes, not the advertised gap, and the cost delta didn't survive that math. Individual duration variance on these is huge — ask your doctor about a trial month before committing the budget.
