Valérie Guimond is a Registered Nurse who graduated from the University of Montreal in 2013. From the beginning of her career, she has been deeply passionate about mental health care. She went on to complete a Master's degree in Psychiatry and obtained her license as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in 2019, becoming part of one of the first graduating cohorts in this specialty in Quebec. Throughout her career, she has worked across a wide range of clinical settings, including inpatient psychiatry, correctional facilities, outpatient mental health services, and private practice. Her areas of expertise include mood disorders, personality disorders, substance use disorders, and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Valérie places great importance on developing a comprehensive understanding of each individual’s unique circumstances and clinical presentation. She believes that accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning require a holistic approach that considers the biological, psychological, and social factors influencing mental health. Her goal is to provide evidence-based, personalized care that supports long-term well-being and recovery.
