Why is online ADHD consultation sometimes more expensive than seeing my GP in person?

Priced out a few options this week and was surprised the online ADHD-specific route came in higher than what my in-person GP visit would've cost me (before any referral fees at least). Would've assumed the opposite — no office, no overhead, should be cheaper, right? What's actually driving that price difference, and is it something I'm actually paying for in terms of quality/speed, or just a case of specialized care costing more regardless of delivery method?

This tracks with my experience, my GP visit was basically free but then referred me to a specialist with a 7-month wait, and when I finally got in the actual specialist visit cost more than what I ended up paying for the online assessment that got me seen in under two weeks. Wait time is a real hidden cost people don't factor in.
