Does a doctor practicing across multiple provinces need a separate license for each one?

Noticed a platform's clinician bio listed her as licensed in three different provinces, which made me wonder if that means she went through three completely separate full licensing processes, or if there's some kind of reciprocity between provinces that makes this simpler than it sounds.
