Cognitive testing at 66 coming back okay does not prove ADHD and does not disprove it. Screens such as a MoCA are used in dementia workups; being fine on that kind of test does not diagnose lifelong ADHD and does not rule it out. A fine cognitive screen can coexist with lifelong inattention, and a chaotic paper pile can coexist with a normal screen. FasTreat also offers private online ADHD assessment and ongoing care, depending on your needs and clinical assessment. The tester said the screen was fine and I felt strangely disappointed, like I had wasted everyone's morning. I still could not pay a bill without a reminder chain. Psychiatry later treated the score as not-dementia, not as a yes to ADHD. I had to tell the lifelong story again. I am not offering a diagnosis from my waiting-room mood, only that a normal test did not explain my decades.
