Why did my ADHD medication stop working when perimenopause started?

Personal experience only. My Adderall felt flat the same month my periods went weird. HRT helped sleep; my psychiatrist later adjusted timing, not the hormone dose alone. I started tracking this because daily life got messier, not because I wanted a new protocol from a forum. Missed alarms, late meals, and poor sleep all sat on top of the hormone piece. I asked for a joint review rather than experimenting at home. I still use evidence-based ADHD treatment. Personal experience only.

Personal experience only. Different story, personal only. Stimulant seemed fine but I was severely sleep-deprived from night sweats. Treating peri symptoms helped more than chasing a higher ADHD dose. The other way this landed for me: I felt better physically and still lost hours to unfinished tasks. That gap is why I did not treat hormone therapy as an ADHD fix. I asked both clinicians to stay in the loop. I still need ADHD strategies on ordinary Tuesdays. Not a recommendation.
