This is extremely common in ADHD. Remembering to take medication relies on the same executive functions that ADHD affects. Forgetting does not mean you do not value the benefit. It means the system needs support. Linking meds to an existing routine or using visible cues can help. Needing reminders is not ironic. It is expected.
