What's something that's helped you stick with your treatment day-to-day? Reminders, routines, anything—curious what works for other people.

I'm fairly new to ADHD treatment and doing okay so far, but I know the day-to-day consistency is where I tend to struggle with things. Curious what's actually worked for other people—reminders, routines, little tricks, whatever. Always looking to steal ideas that work. Thanks!

One thing I've noticed from talking with a lot of people with ADHD is that the strategies that work best are usually the ones that require the fewest decisions. Some of the most common things people say have helped: • Taking medication at the exact same time as another daily habit (coffee, breakfast, brushing teeth, feeding the dog, etc.). • Keeping medication visible instead of tucked away in a drawer, so its not out of your sight! • Using a weekly pill organizer so they can tell at a glance whether they've taken it. • Setting a recurring phone alarm and not dismissing it until the medication is actually taken. • Keeping a small backup supply in a work bag, purse, or car (where appropriate and safe) for those rushed mornings. • Tracking how they feel on medication versus off medication. A lot of people say seeing the difference in focus, productivity, or emotional regulation helps reinforce the habit. • Pairing medication with protein at breakfast, which many find helps with appetite and overall consistency. Its all about building systems! Don't rely on motivation. The easier you make the routine, the more likely it is to happen automatically.
