For many people with ADHD, therapy alone is not enough because it does not directly address neurobiological regulation. Therapy can be helpful for insight, coping, and emotional processing, but ADHD involves brain based differences in attention and initiation. When ADHD is untreated, therapy strategies may be hard to apply consistently. Many patients find therapy becomes far more effective once ADHD is properly addressed, whether through medication, accommodations, or targeted coaching.
