Mild increases in heart rate or awareness of heartbeat can occur, especially early in treatment or during dose changes. For many people, this settles as the body adjusts. Clinicians routinely monitor heart rate, blood pressure, and symptoms. Feeling your pulse more clearly does not automatically mean something is wrong, but it should always be mentioned. Adjustments are made if symptoms persist or feel uncomfortable. Monitoring is a normal part of responsible ADHD care.
