A psychiatric diagnostic assessment (physician/psychiatrist or physician-led telehealth, often OHIP-covered or in the hundreds privately) is the route that connects directly to medical treatment. Middle path that gets missed: some psychiatrists do assessment-only private consults for $400-600 — not the full psychoed battery, but a diagnostic appointment that CAN lead directly to treatment. Ask specifically for 'psychiatric diagnostic assessment' not 'psychoeducational assessment' — different products, wildly different prices, and clinics won't volunteer the distinction.
