Many people with ADHD internalize the belief that others have it worse, so their struggles do not count. This often comes from years of being told to try harder or from comparing visible outcomes rather than internal effort.
Minimizing can become a coping strategy to avoid guilt or appearing needy. Unfortunately, it also prevents people from seeking support.
Struggle is not a competition. Your experience is valid even if someone else is struggling differently.
