A Manulife group Health Care Spending Account might reimburse an ADHD assessment in Ontario if your employer offers an HCSA, the expense is eligible under your plan rules and Canada Revenue Agency medical-expense concepts, and you still have a balance; it is not a promise that every Manulife member can pay a private psychologist this way. Manulife states that each HCSA is unique to the organization, not every employer offers one, and employees should check the plan member site and booklet. An HCSA is typically a yearly employer deposit used for eligible medical expenses after provincial care and after the base extended health plan, including amounts over a psychology maximum. Psychologist services can be eligible medical expenses in CRA material when provided by an authorized practitioner, but your HCSA may still exclude some testing or require receipts in a set format. OHIP will not pay a private psychologist ADHD assessment.
Rules, coverage and referral pathways vary by province and can change; confirm the current position with the relevant institution or provincial program.

This is only my personal experience in Ontario, not a Manulife-wide rule. My employer HCSA had a yearly deposit. After the regular psychologist maximum was used up, I submitted the unpaid ADHD assessment receipt to the spending account and they reimbursed part of the remainder until the HCSA hit zero. A coworker at another company had no HCSA at all. I am not saying every group plan will cover an assessment this way.
