Dexedrine vs Vyvanse — my psychiatrist suggested the switch to save money. 2-month update

Student, no drug plan, and Vyvanse was running me $100+/month, which on my budget meant I'd started quietly stretching doses — skipping "easy" days to make the bottle last. Not proud of it. Mentioned it to my psychiatrist expecting a lecture; instead he went "oh, let's just try Dexedrine, it's ancient and cheap." Two months in: ~85% as good, a third of the price. The curve is bumpier — I can feel the spansule land and fade in a way Vyvanse never announced itself — and dose timing matters more (learned the 9pm bedtime-staring lesson once). But I'm not rationing anymore, which beats a perfect curve I can't afford. 24M Alberta. Posting mainly for other broke students. Also curious — how common is the dose-rationing thing? I can't be the only one who never told their doctor.
