Whenever I drink coffee I feel calmer and more focused instead of jittery. Is this an ADHD thing?

For many people with ADHD, caffeine improves regulation rather than causing overstimulation. ADHD brains tend to be under stimulated in areas that control focus and attention. Caffeine increases dopamine and norepinephrine, helping those systems function more efficiently. Instead of feeling jittery, people often feel calmer, clearer, or more grounded. This reaction doesn’t diagnose ADHD on its own, but it’s a well recognized pattern. It reflects how your nervous system responds to stimulation, not tolerance or dependence.
