How do you approach ADHD treatment when someone also lives with chronic pain or fatigue?
I have ADHD and a chronic pain/fatigue condition. Stimulants sometimes help my focus but can also leave me feeling completely drained later. How do you usually approach treatment when both ADHD and chronic pain/fatigue are on the table?

Very carefully and collaboratively. Chronic pain and fatigue can mimic or worsen attention difficulties. We first clarify what is driving what. Sometimes low dose stimulant treatment helps energy and cognitive clarity. Other times it may exacerbate symptoms if sleep is disrupted. We prioritize sleep, pacing, and nervous system regulation. Medication decisions are individualized and conservative. The goal is improving function without increasing physical stress. It often requires more frequent follow up and small adjustments rather than big changes.
