My partner and I keep having the same arguments about calendars, school forms, and household tasks. If one or both of us has ADHD, what systems actually help co-parenting without one person carrying everything?

ADHD often affects time perception, task tracking, and follow through, which can make shared responsibilities feel uneven. Without clear systems, both partners may feel overwhelmed and resentful. Clinicians often recommend externalizing the system rather than relying on memory or verbal agreements. Shared calendars, visible task lists, and explicit roles reduce conflict by removing ambiguity. These conflicts are rarely about caring. They are about mismatched systems, and fixing the system often reduces the fighting dramatically.
