Adderall XR wears off by 2pm every day — is that normal or am I underdosed?
ok so the box says 10-12 hours. my experience: 7am dose, and at 2pm — you could set a watch by it — focus gone, patience gone, suddenly very interested in the snack cupboard. every single day. i'm on adderall xr 20mg in alberta. is a hard 7-hour stop just how some bodies process this, or is this what underdosing looks like? don't want to ask for more if the real answer is "eat lunch earlier" or something.

Before the booster conversation: what's your lunch? Genuinely. My 'XR dies at 2' improved a weird amount when I stopped having just coffee till noon. Not cured — improved. The acidic-drinks thing with amphetamines is apparently real too, my pharmacist mentioned the vitamin-C interaction.

XR lasting 7 hours is more common than the box implies. For me the fix wasn't more mg — my doctor added a small IR booster at 1pm for workdays. Took the 2pm cliff out entirely. Worth asking about as a specific option.
