Lost 8 lbs in 2 months on Adderall — at what point should I actually worry?

Down 8 lbs in two months on Adderall XR and I didn't have 8 lbs to give. It's not nausea or anything dramatic — lunch just stopped occurring to me as a concept. I eat dinner like a normal person because the meds have faded by then. Where's the actual line between "common side effect, set meal alarms, drink your calories" and "this warrants a medication conversation"? What does a doctor look at to decide — rate of loss? Total? Labs? 29F in Alberta, follow-up in five weeks, trying to gauge whether this can wait that long.

Practical things that worked when food stopped occurring to me: liquid calories (smoothie mid-morning, I can drink absent-mindedly even when I can't eat), eating breakfast BEFORE the dose kicks in, and alarms labeled 'eat something, gremlin.' Recovered about half the loss. Five weeks felt fine to wait WITH those tactics; without them I'd have called sooner.

My prescriber's rough framework, shared as a patient not a professional: rate of loss mattered more than total (fast early loss that keeps accelerating = flag), and she cared about whether I was skipping meals vs eating smaller ones. 8lbs/2months landed in her 'watch, don't panic' zone with scheduled meals + monthly weigh-ins. Below a certain BMI it becomes an active problem regardless of rate.
