Yes. Choice overload is a very real ADHD issue. Decision making relies on executive functioning, including prioritization, filtering, and working memory. When all options feel equally loud or important, even small decisions like groceries can become exhausting. Sensory input also plays a role. Bright lights, noise, people, and time pressure can overload the system, making it harder to think clearly. What looks like indecision is often cognitive overload, not lack of confidence. Many people with ADHD do better with fewer options, routines, or external constraints. It’s not about being bad at decisions, it’s about the brain needing help narrowing the field.
