How long did it take before you noticed a difference after starting treatment?

I went through the assessment process with FasTreat and have started treatment. I wanted to share my experience and was curious to hear others, especially those who had a similar process. So far, I’ve had a really positive experience with FasTreat. The assessment process was straightforward and convenient, and I appreciated being able to do everything online. My provider was also very attentive and took the time to listen to my concerns and answer my questions. Overall, I’m glad I decided to get assessed, and I’m looking forward to seeing how things continue to improve. How long did it take before you started noticing a meaningful difference in your focus, motivation, or ability to actually finish tasks? Did you notice small changes first, or was it more of a gradual improvement over time? I’d also be interested in hearing whether anything surprised you once you started treatment. Would love to hear how it went for other people

Thanks for sharing your experience. If medication is part of the plan, stimulant medications can have an effect on the day they are taken, but it can still take follow-up visits to work out whether the dose, timing, and overall plan are a good fit. Non-stimulant medications may take longer to show a meaningful benefit. Therapy, ADHD coaching, and practical strategies often feel more gradual because the changes build as you try new tools and routines. Early improvements can be subtle: a little less friction when starting a task, staying with a conversation longer, or noticing that you finished something before realizing it. Some people notice a clearer shift early on, while others see a steadier improvement over several weeks. If you feel unusually flat, more anxious, or unlike yourself, contact your provider through the FasTreat portal as soon as you notice it. They can review what you are experiencing alongside sleep, appetite, mood, timing, and side effects.
