Forgot my morning dose until 1pm — take it late or skip? What's your actual cutoff?
It is 1:07pm and this morning's Vyvanse is still sitting on the counter, judging me. The internet's advice ranges from "take it, you're fine" to "skip it or you'll see sunrise." Extremely helpful spread.
What's the actual cutoff logic? Is it hours-before-bed? Half-life math? "Know your own response"? And what do prescribers really advise for the occasional forgotten morning — because let's be honest, forgetting the ADHD medication is the most on-brand possible failure mode and this will happen again. 30F, Ontario, dose still on the counter while I await your verdicts.

The meta-fix that ended my forgotten-dose era: dose bottle ON the coffee maker (can't make coffee without touching it), plus a phone alarm labeled 'DID YOU ACTUALLY THOUGH.' Forgetting dropped from weekly to twice a year. Solving the cutoff question is good; making it unnecessary is better.

My prescriber's actual rule for me: after noon = half day's benefit isn't worth the sleep debt, skip and survive. But she set that cutoff FOR ME based on my sleep history and the specific med — my partner's cutoff on the same drug is 2pm. Point being: this is a one-question message to your prescriber that becomes a permanent personal policy. Get your number.

1:07pm update requested: which timeline did we get? (Also, the counter placement was the real villain here — see above re: coffee maker.)
