My interest in psychiatry was sparked during medical school, where I developed a strong fascination with mental health. Throughout my clinical training, I saw firsthand how impactful an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management of ADHD can have for adults—a population often underserved due to gaps in available services. This inspired me to specialize in ADHD, as I believe there are real opportunities to improve patients’ quality of life through timely diagnosis and tailored, evidence-based interventions. I am dedicated to delivering holistic, patient-centred care that emphasizes education and collaborative partnership, empowering individuals to effectively manage their condition and enhance their overall functioning.

My approach to treating ADHD is personalized and evidence-based, integrating medication, therapy, and support to help patients to address both symptoms and underlying challenges, thereby promoting long-term functioning and well-being.

Telepsychiatry has significantly expanded access to ADHD care by reducing geographical and logistical barriers, especially for individuals who may struggle with in-person appointments due to executive functioning challenges. It allows for more flexible, consistent engagement with services, which is particularly beneficial for adults balancing work, family, or other responsibilities. Moreover, it supports timely assessments and follow-up care, helping to bridge service gaps in underserved or remote areas where ADHD services are limited.

I hope my patients leave their first session feeling heard, respected, and that they are not alone in navigating their challenges. Even if we haven’t found all the answers yet, I want them to feel a sense of safety and partnership—that we’re beginning a thoughtful, collaborative process toward understanding and care; that we can work together to better understand the patient’s strengths and challenges, and identify supports that will help them function more confidently and effectively.
