Crying at commercials after years of not being able to cry is a change some people mention after starting Vyvanse, though why ads would be the trigger is not established. It does not mean everyone on lisdexamfetamine will cry more, and a community thread cannot say what caused it. Vyvanse is lisdexamfetamine. If the change is persistent, distressing, or affecting daily functioning, bring a brief timeline to the prescribing clinician rather than changing the dose independently.

I cried at a home insurance ad three weeks after starting Vyvanse and I had not cried at anything for years. It was embarrassing on the sofa. I do not know if it is the meds or me finally not being shut down. I wrote it down and mentioned it at follow-up because it felt weird, not because I wanted a dose lecture. They did not explain the commercials. Only my experience. If I had felt unsafe I would have got help, but it was just ads, which is still odd.
