Starting ADHD care on video does not freeze a single national rule for later stimulant prescribing. Controlled-substance requirements can change with provincial college virtual-care standards, the clinician’s licence, CDSA prescription transmission rules, and identity or in-person expectations that may apply at the time. Video follow-up may be allowed, but that is not a promise that every refill will stay remote forever. In-person showed up later for me even though we started on video. I had already told my workplace I could do appointments from a parked car. Then I had to take a morning off. I did not change how I take the meds because of that. Just my clinic's process. I would not call video a forever loophole. I was annoyed more than scared.

I started on video and assumed that meant refills would stay on video forever. Later they wanted ID stuff I did not expect and I had to scramble. I did not treat it as a trick or a punishment. I just brought a paper file to the next call. This is only my experience. I would not tell anyone the rules stay frozen.
