Trying to conceive: how far ahead did you stop stimulants?

There is no official universal number of weeks, for all ADHD medicines, at which everyone must stop a stimulant before trying to conceive. Preconception planning belongs with the prescriber and, when needed, obstetric, maternal-fetal, or perinatal psychiatry services. Inventing a rule such as stop three months before is not supported here. Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility treatment can change the benefit-risk discussion, so medication changes need review with the clinicians involved rather than a forum-based plan. Nobody gave me a three-month stopwatch. We had a messy appointment about trying to conceive, my actual tablets, and who to call if I got pregnant sooner than the plan. I did not come off anything that week. I also did not hide that I was still taking a stimulant. Different from a friend who paused earlier. This is only how my clinic talked, not a washout number I would give someone else.
