Dream reports on stimulants go in more than one direction, and none of them is guaranteed. Product labels do not promise more vivid dreams, no dreams, or nightmares as a standard treatment effect. FDA DailyMed information for Concerta states that withdrawal signs after abrupt discontinuation or a dose reduction following prolonged use of CNS stimulants can include vivid, unpleasant dreams, insomnia or hypersomnia, fatigue, and dysphoric mood. If the change is persistent, distressing, or affecting daily functioning, bring a brief timeline to the prescribing clinician rather than changing the dose independently.

I barely remember dreams on stimulants. I also sleep less, so I do not know if the dreams stopped or I just wake up without the story. When I missed a few days I had weird vivid ones and felt wrecked, which scared me. I did not stop on purpose to get dreams back. I told my prescriber about the sleep. This is only my experience, not a plan.
