Is going through a specialized ADHD-focused platform actually better than a general telehealth service that also happens to offer ADHD care?

Tried a general telehealth service for this once, assessment felt noticeably more rushed and generic compared to a dedicated ADHD platform I used later, didn't feel purpose-built the way the specialized one did. Anecdotal, but matched this take.

In my experience it mattered, though I'd frame it as 'provider specialization' mattering more than 'platform branding' specifically. A platform entirely built around ADHD tends to (though doesn't guarantee) staff providers who specifically focus on ADHD and mental health rather than general practice, and their intake process, assessment tools, and follow-up structure are usually purpose-built for this one condition rather than adapted from a more generalized telehealth template built for a much wider range of visit types. That's not an absolute rule though, a general telehealth service could still staff a genuinely ADHD-specialized provider for that specific service line, the platform's overall breadth doesn't automatically tell you about the individual provider's actual focus and experience. Worth checking the specific provider's background regardless of which type of platform you're considering, rather than assuming platform specialization alone guarantees quality.
