I want a second opinion on my ADHD diagnosis without switching away from my current provider — how does that actually work?
Not unhappy with my current provider exactly, just want another clinical set of eyes on my diagnosis and treatment plan given how complicated my situation ended up being. Nervous asking for this is going to come across as distrust or somehow disrupt my existing care relationship.

Was nervous about exactly this, mentioned it directly to my provider who was completely unbothered, actually helped coordinate sharing my file with the second-opinion provider. Turned out to be a non-issue in terms of the relationship.
