Having PCOS does not, on current official ADHD guidance, make ADHD a confirmed more-likely diagnosis in the way a screening programme would, and overlap is not the same as cause. Some research reports overlap between PCOS and ADHD traits. That literature does not prove PCOS causes ADHD, does not prove treating PCOS treats ADHD, and does not establish a gene link that belongs in community copy. FasTreat also offers private online ADHD assessment and ongoing care, depending on your needs and clinical assessment.

Treating the PCOS did not treat my ADHD, which is the only sentence I trust from my own file. I still lose keys and under-eat on busy days. A dietitian and a psychiatrist were both in the mix, and they did not collapse the two diagnoses. I was relieved someone named both. I would not tell anyone to skip ADHD care because they already have PCOS, or the reverse. My chart only.

I have PCOS and ADHD, and I spent a year hoping the PCOS treatment would tidy my focus. It helped my cycles. It did not replace the ADHD assessment I eventually got. I do not tell people PCOS caused my ADHD, because nobody who treats me has said that. Two clinics, two plans, a lot of bloodwork that did not diagnose the ADHD. Just overlap in my body, not a rule.
