Is a prescription from an online ADHD consult less legitimate than one from an in-person visit?
Told my uncle (a nurse, so not totally dismissible) that I got assessed and prescribed through a telehealth platform and he raised an eyebrow, said "so no one actually examined you." Now I'm second-guessing something that felt completely normal a week ago. Is there an actual legitimacy gap between an online ADHD prescription and an in-person one, or was my uncle just being an old-school skeptic? Genuinely want to know if I should be worried about how this looks on paper down the line.

Went the online route myself after my in-person waitlist quoted me 8 months. Assessment itself didn't feel rushed or lesser at all, honestly more thorough than a GP referral chat would've been, full hour-plus interview. The 'no one examined you' thing isn't really how ADHD assessment works anyway even in person, it's interview-based not a physical exam.
