Does menopause make ADHD medication less effective too?

Personal only. After menopause my dose felt weaker until HRT helped sleep. The stimulant alone did not fix hot flushes. For me the confusing part was how similar the bad weeks felt to ADHD, even when something hormonal was clearly going on. I wrote down timing and symptoms and brought that to follow-up. Nobody in my care team told me to replace ADHD treatment with hormones. I am only describing my own months, not a plan for anyone else.
