I struggle to fall asleep because my mind is racing, even when I'm tired. When you suspect anxiety is the main driver of insomnia, how do you typically approach treatment — CBT-i, medication, lifestyle changes, or a mix?

First we validate how exhausting that cycle is. Then we target both the anxiety and the sleep habits. Cognitive strategies, wind down routines, limiting late night stimulation, and sometimes medication can help. If thoughts are repetitive and fear based, treating anxiety directly is key. If they are scattered and hyperactive, ADHD may be contributing. Sleep improves when the underlying driver is addressed, not just the symptom.
