Nobody warned me medication would be an ongoing cost on top of the assessment — what does a full year of ADHD meds actually run without insurance?
Budgeted for the assessment fee and treated that as basically the whole cost in my head, then realized medication is a separate, ongoing expense I hadn't really planned for. What does this actually add up to over a year if I'm paying entirely out of pocket?

Mine runs a little under $400 a year on the generic version, would probably be closer to $1,200+ if I were on the brand-name equivalent instead. Definitely ask about generic options specifically, wasn't offered by default until I asked.
