Is a copper IUD better than hormonal birth control if I have ADHD?

My experience only. Hormonal pills wrecked my mood and made stimulants feel useless. A copper IUD removed those hormone swings, though my periods got heavier. ADHD meds felt steadier, but I still take them daily. For me the confusing part was how similar the bad weeks felt to ADHD, even when something hormonal was clearly going on. I wrote down timing and symptoms and brought that to follow-up. Nobody in my care team told me to replace ADHD treatment with hormones. I am only describing my own months, not a plan for anyone else.
