Can ADHD be the reason I drain myself socially without noticing?
I feel fine during social stuff but crash super hard later. Is that ADHD-related?

Yes. Many people with ADHD do well socially in the moment but expend a lot of mental energy masking, monitoring themselves, staying engaged, and regulating attention. The crash often comes later, once the stimulation ends.
Because the fatigue is delayed, people don’t always connect it to the social interaction itself. They just feel wiped out afterward. This is especially common in adults who appear socially confident but feel exhausted behind the scenes.
Social burnout doesn’t mean you’re antisocial. It often means socializing requires more cognitive effort than it looks like.
