If an adult has all three — ADHD, anxiety and depression — how do you decide what to focus on first? Do you usually stabilise mood and anxiety medication before introducing ADHD meds, or is it sometimes the other way round?

It depends on severity and risk. If depression is severe or there are safety concerns, we stabilize mood first. If anxiety is driving impairment, we address that early. If ADHD is primary and contributing to both, treating ADHD can sometimes reduce secondary anxiety and low mood. Often treatment is layered thoughtfully rather than strictly sequential. We individualize based on what is most impairing.
