I'm not distractible but I feel restless constantly. Could this be ADHD?

Yes. ADHD is not always about being easily distracted. Many adults experience constant internal restlessness instead. This can look like feeling keyed up, uncomfortable with stillness, mentally agitated, or unable to relax even when focused. These individuals may actually concentrate well but feel chronically tense or driven. Clinicians often describe this as internal hyperactivity. Because it doesn’t match the stereotype of ADHD, it is frequently overlooked. ADHD is fundamentally a regulation disorder, and restlessness is one of its core expressions.
