I relate a lot to ADHD content but also to anxiety. At night my mind runs through every possible scenario and I can't switch off. Clinically, what makes you lean more towards ADHD versus anxiety when overthinking and restlessness are the main complaints?

It can be both. ADHD often brings mental hyperactivity, while anxiety adds worry content. At night, when distractions drop, thoughts feel louder. We assess timing, themes, and physical symptoms. If thoughts are scattered and jump rapidly, ADHD may be prominent. If they are repetitive and fear based, anxiety may be leading. Treatment can include medication, sleep hygiene, and cognitive strategies. Often, addressing both gently yields the best results.
