Did anyone's ADHD meds stop working after starting an antidepressant?
Throwaway because my main has coworkers on it. Started sertraline about a month ago for anxiety (separate saga), and since then my Vyvanse feels like it's running at half volume. Like it shows up, waves, and leaves. I can't find a straight answer on whether these two actually interact or whether a month of adjusting to an SSRI just… does this. Also awkward logistics question: the SSRI is from my GP and the Vyvanse from a psychiatric NP — who do I even raise this with first?

On the who-do-I-ask logistics: I emailed both prescribers the same three-line summary and let them sort it out. The NP replied first and coordinated with my GP directly. Don't appoint yourself the messenger between two clinicians — that's how details get dropped.

Same combo, same experience, and my psychiatrist did NOT think it was in my head. Something about sertraline and how your body processes amphetamines — she adjusted timing first (SSRI at night), which helped maybe half, then tweaked the dose. Point is: it's a known conversation, not a you-problem.
